Birmingham or Hult

Hi, my question is how to decide between these two offers?

I am International student(from China) who has been offered by Birmingham Bschool and Hult MBA programs.I have a 3.5 years experience in PwC as an auditor and my goal is to find a job there(UK or USA).

I did read about some critics about Hult as well as the pros and cons that listed by the alumnus. Most of the negative comments were posted 3 or 4 years ago and now the situation is changing a lot.

I know clearly that work visa is the most challenging problem that I need to face,and job hunting is not a easy game which requires several aspects.

I really need some objective advice about how to make the decision. Something about the difference market situation between the countries,the cities and of course the visa policy.

I don't think Hult has any really established, active recruitment relationships with traditional MBA recruiters in the UK. if you use LinkedIn (How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571) You'll see the only notable recruiter is the school itself. Maybe vertical markets matter to you? Birmingham has much greater resources and a much larger alumni base in consulting, IT and finance. Hult places into financial services, consulting, marketing and advertising.

I am not sure which Hult campus you are focussing on. Obviously the job hunt is easier is you pick one and stay there.

Sorry,I did't say it clearly. I chose Boston campus of Hult. UK or USA is the problem that matters me a lot.

So you mentioned that Birmingham has much greater resources than Hult ,is it the London campus or the entire five campuses?Does it mean the much greater advantages of Birmingham will justify the choice between US and UK?

Well, If you can get into Birmingham then you can get into other schools which are better than Hult. I never heard of anyone who was not offered a seat at Hult. I think it's important that you take the time to focus on your career goals, and then choose the school. It's not effective to choose the school and then accept the options that might arise, especially if you don't want to work for Hult. Hult is a very unusual organisation for the reasons well discussed on this site. Birmingham is a huge university, and the first in the UK to teach business. That means that, although the MBA is so small that sometimes there are not enough student responses to get it into the rankings, there are still a huge number of employers coming to the campus to hire.

Unless you have a family business to return to, I think you need more choices. Birmingham is one of the 20 best MBAs in the world for international mobility (http://board.find-mba.com/general-forum/best-schools-for-international-students-placement-35651) but if you could get into a better school, then that would be better.
