Finance Minor at NYU Tandon vs MIT Finance MicroMasters

I am currently pursuing a BS degree at NYU and I have an option of enrolling into Tandon's Finance minor, worth 15 credits.
On the contrary, there exists MIT's Finance MicroMasters, which, to my knowledge, covers the same amount of information, if not more. With the MicroMasters, I do benefit from zero deadlines and MIT credibility on my CV.

Would you recommend I take the MicroMasters or pursue the Finance minor?

FYI I intend to pursue an MSc in Finance or Financial Engineering immediately after the completion of my BS degree.

I don't think the articulation agreements for the finance Micromasters are public but is reasonable to assume that a completed Micromasters will assure you entry into (more than one) finance master's with a substantial reduction in the time and cost.

I am not particularly looking forward to transferring credit; I just want something that teaches me a lot and something that adds to my application for graduate studies.

So, would you recommend the Finance minor or MIT's MicroMasters?
Or will I just have to wait for the articulation agreements?

I guess this depends on whether Tandon has other things that interest you more than finance. If not, then it might work to do both since the content will be very similar. The Micromasters gives you affiliate alumni status at MIT, which is useful, and at the time when you enter the MiF you might find it useful to save a semester's tuition and get into the workforce a semester earlier, which is what the articulation agreements will allow you to do.

Oh! I see that edX now has the initial agreements in the website: MIT; RIT; USF and AUM. I would expect that number to increase over the next year. I don't think there will be any holders of the Micromaster until 2022.
