As far as consulting is concerned, both schools seem to do well, given their longer-than-12 month duration and program structure.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>As far as regional networks are concerned, how much pull do you feel the Manchester UAE campus actually has? I mean does it happen often that an MBA student studying in Manchester secures job and/or builds (strong) networks through the UAE campus?&nbsp;</div>

I guess this depends on the sort of consulting you mean. The Manchester MBA doesn't have great relationships with the strategy consultancies, and its MBA is best for career changers. HEC does have those relationships but it is oh-so-French. If you don't speak and write business French before starting at HEC, then what consulting firm would hire you? If they want to hire people for your home country, then why not hire them there?&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>LinkedIn will show you that Manchester does have a better network in the UAE than most of the too European schools, and full time students can take electives there. At the end of the day, as in the UK, it will be your ability to network that will produce the opportunities. Certainly I do know AMBA MBAs who are working in the UAE.&nbsp;</div>

But my main point is not that AMBS is better than HEC (although it is for your goals) but that you need to narrow these two regions and two industries down to one hypothesis, and then pick the schools that are best for your goal.&nbsp;

Cause HEC ranks higher than AMBS in almost all aspects.</div>

I means that it is for his goals, since he would not arrive at HEC being able to work in French. A penknife is better than a cup, but not if you want to drink. The rankings have to try to equate schools, but really the top schools are each shaped differently to deliver managers to their major employers, who need MBAs in specific industries, functions and places.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>PS That's one more reason why its so important to have goals. You need to shortlist the best schools, and the top schools pick candidates who meet their major employers' needs. That's why someone with a 790 GMAT, but no goals, can't get into most top schools.</div>
