Hi everyone,

I have received unconditional offer letters for pursuing MBA from University of Nottingham, Cardiff, Sheffield, Strathclyde and Liverpool for sep'2022 -2023 academic year. Also, I have applied for MIM from Warwick and Leeds, Exeter. Yet to hear back from these.

I am a tech management professional having 6 years of work experience. I aspire to land into a pretty good job in UK post MBA completion.

Could someone please guide me in finalising one offer from the ones listed above.

Thanks for your reply Duncan.
As I could see World rankings of these universities, Nottingham, Sheffield are ranked in top 100 as per QS and Cardiff in 100-150. Strathclyde rank is in 300-350 in both QS and THSE rankings.

But when I looked into ROI aspects, Strathclyde has better ROI and also this is the one which is placed in FT top 100 university rankings.
Coming to MIM, yes I have too much of an experience to go for a MIM. But, incase I receive an offer from Warwick for MIM, what would be the wiser decision to take?

Once I complete my MBA, I would like to work for a reputed brand as a marketing manager within UK.

Strathclyde because you won't be admitted to Warwick. But an MSc will be better. Maybe consider the Lancaster or Cranfield MBAs? Those are strong schools for marketing.

I did apply for Cranfield and Lancaster both Duncan. I could not be successful with Lancaster and Cranfield replied saying I do not posses required managerial experience for them to invite for an interview process.

So from the existing offers, going for Strathclyde MBA would be better. And incase I get selected for Warwick MIM, I should give priority to this over Strathclyde right!

Hi all,

I have received 10000 GBP scholarship from Nottingham and 25% of tuition fee from Sheffield, 4000€ from Liverpool. Still waiting for Strathclyde scholarship.

I need to confirm to Nottingham before 18th if I am ready to accept the offer. Could you please help me in deciding upon the University considering financial aspects as well as employment opportunities in UK post MBA completion.

Strathclyde remains the best choice (assuming you don't want to attend a better school to obtain an MSc in your target business function, marketing). At this point of time, most of the schools don't accept applications Duncan. And also, my experience of 6+ years could be considered too high for them to offer Master's in marketing area.

He said you should ignore the scholarship and focus on going to Strathclyde because you will get more opportunities through the school. Read the link he posted.

I have just applied for MSc in marketing & Strategy from Warwick.. Hoping for a positive response.

On the other side, for MBA, you advise me to go with Strathclyde without getting attracted to scholarships offered by these other universities right.

Hope you are doing well!

I have received offer for MSc in marketing & Strategy from Warwick. Also, I have offers from Strathclyde, Glasgow and Nottingham. Awaiting for result from UEBS.

Could you kindly tell me if doing MBA from Strathclyde or MSc in marketing from Warwick would be better to later get a job in UK with a better salary. (Assuming I don't get selected for UEBS). Also, If I am given offer by UEBS, could you kindly confirm the same in between MS from Warwick & MBA from UEBS!

a MSc in a very high tech area and get a great job
