Why MBA and Retail business experience

I need guidance here (over 9.6 year work ex= 6 years (corporate, project management, innovations) + 3.5 yrs (retail family business), (GMAT:680, Q 49,V 34) (B.Tech from Top tier college of India)

I am leading a small enterprise retail fashion business (family owned) from last 3.5 years. I have manged to provide 100% revenue/yr growth in over 3 years. With my efforts now we have launched another outlet in nearby city. With this,I have managed to save our business which was struggling for long.

Now I have set my eyes on bigger goal, taking expanding our business into national retail chain. But I don't want a longer route. I want to restructure our business and establish all necessary things with help of funding. More importantly, my lack of business acumen is exposing me to big risk. Would I be able to provide sustainability to business after reaching this goal. How would I approach this plan given my lack of business skills like marketing and finance.

Therefore, I thought that doing general mba would be right thing to do. However, i am finding it hard to align my goals to 'Why International MBA'? Apparently, ad-com teams I visited didn't find my plan of MBA not good enough.

Can anyone please guide. I sincerely, think that MBA will do me good. Its just I am not able to connect the dots.

Which programmes have you applied to? What othet leadership experience do you have? Why not look at a non-degree programme like the Harvard OPM?

I have chosen Manchester, St. gallen, WHU, HHL, Emlyon, Warwick, Scheller, Katz, SMU Cox,

I am not so sure about non-degree programs. From MBA degree I could come up with backup plan in case I my business plan doesn't work out.

Well if I were to deal in fashion design and its merchandising, fashion management would have been better. But, my goal is towards taking our business from properitership to full fledged organization with direct sourcing of merchandise from manufacturers. Or in acquiring manufacturers. Wouldn't it require a general management know-how. if yes, then how should i project it through Why International MBA?

If you're just looking at 'general management know-how' and not necessarily looking to expand your network or get an official degree / qualification, there are less time consuming and cheaper options out there compared to an MBA.
