I'd say - Aston>Bath>Birmingham when it comes to MBA reputation. But Birmingham wins over Bath for placement success rate and location advantage.
Bath is in Wales and most students are on compay sponsorship or an academic sabbatical.

Just to clarify, Bath is in England, not Wales, and is in the South West of the country, very close to Bristol. All three programmes are ranking among the top 100 programmes in the world in the FT's latest global MBA ranking. Bath has a particularly lovely location in a beautiful and historic city.

Hi, I got these three offers as well. I prefer Bath, the city of beautiful scene, because I dont think Aston is worthy the tuition of 22,000 pounds. But I need to admit that the programme of Bath MBA is a little bit of general.

Btw,I got the unconditional offer of Durham, maybe it will be my final decision.

I thought I might chooce ASTON ,there are two reasons for that. Firstly, BIRMINGHAM is the second biggest city in the UK, so maybe we can get a lot of chances to broaden our vision and find a job in the UK that I thought probably much better for us before we went back our country, even though it is samll and more expensive than others. Secondly, I must take into account the ranking, you know it is important for MBA courses.

Actually, before ASTON , my first choice is DURHAM, which has good reputation and high quality of teaching in the UK. Only one thing is not perfect that it is cold and far away from the city. Unfortunately, she refused me.

I thought it was not easy that I have been asked to confirm what I have been doing since January 2008 twice for the first and second filtration, that 's because I have never metion everything from 2008 to 2009. Actually, I have applicated MBA couses of the five(ASTON, BATH,BIRMINGHAM,DURHAM,NOTT), but only ASTON asked this question that I thought ASTON really knew her responsibility for every applicant, even thought she doesn't require GMAT which is just a test I thought.

Has anyone faced an interviw with Aston?
It's pretty strange that Aston would admit students w/o GMAT and then w/o any interview even! How do they validate wht students claim in their application? I'd have expected Aston to be more strict in their selection.
Even Bradford had me take an online test b4 they offered me a place. I'd expect such a test or a good round of interview b4 a school offers me a place. Otherwise it casts serious questions on the cohort quality.

Actually, my case is not for everyone. I think the interview is not necessary. In fact , before the phone-interview from Nott, I have prepared questions which are similar to DURHAM. And when I asked some questions about MBA , the interviewer could not answer me, and she told me so she was not a tutor for MBA course. Maybe her boss just thought that was routine, so everyone could be a interviewer. Of course I knew the interview of DURHAM I had no any experience about this ,and plus my poor english made me so nervous. So i lost it. However, I thought that unfair because a interview could not judge whether I am capable of being a potential leader in certain field.
Same reason for the test, the result is only been used to think if you have ability to study such logistic,arithmetical skills. But GMAT is just a test that you can use many ways to get a higher score without good talent.
And MBA course is a useful approach for us to make more chances in our career. But it does not mean you will get anything you want if you take part in the MBA course. The important thing I think it is your character and personality that can decide you will be who.
Also study is our business, so we just need to care who will teach us and what we will have learned and how to use it to practice.

I think GMAT is a perfect yard stick to measure a student's aptitude.Once a student posts a good score it gives a minimum guarantee to the admissioner .Keeping those factors in mind, univ set their own slabs say 600+ or 650+ etc.But they don't expect in case of Exe.MBA.Even if you have a total of 500+ you can easily get into top order for Exe.MBA( provided sound exp).
It clearly shows that,when your age increases your aptitude may go down a bit but your leadership skills,decision making skills, etc will parallely increase.B-schools think those qualities are essential.Since you are applying for FT MBA it could be tough.At the end of the day,you growth depends on how fast you learn the business.Forget your failures.I have plenty like yours......I managed to get admission in 2 to 3(good) FT ranked univ.But got rejected in univ like Kingston,Nottingham,Leeds etc,which are no more in FT rankings.It happens...........

Agreed! Incredible story I read on the Bath was of an MBA who was offered a full-time role after completing his MBA internship with a UK property firm. It also seems that his involvement in the firm has led it to create a partnership with the school for sourcing MBA talent.
