I got my first degree from a national open university. I went to a public university before but I resigned due to the high work-load and my father's conditions(I worked full time since the second year and my father's health was deteriorating). After quitting, I continued working for a year before transferring my credits to a national open university.Although having graduated with GPA more than 3.5 I wonder if this flaw in the past would affect my application when applying for an MBA at reputable business schools in UK. I wonder if Indonesian students can stand a good chance considering (I'm well aware) the quality of our education. Will my previous job working at the U.N help? Will it make a difference if you work for a non-profit organization? One more thing, do they count your work experience after graduating only?
Thank you in advance.
