MBA top-ups.

I just found this list of (mostly) UK universities that offer MBA top-Ups:
http://atheuk.com/progression-routes/

These are low-status universities which will allow candidates with selected postgraduate-level ("level 7") diploma from UK organisations to skip over part of their MBA foundation courses.

There have been a few short discussions about these programmes before, the most useful is
http://www.find-mba.com/board/27799

None of these are with schools with any real track record of placing students into MBA-type roles, but these are useful qualifications for students who want the prestige of a UK MBA, but don't really need the reputation, alumni network, careers services or world-class education of an accredited or ranked MBA. Amity, the Indian business school in central London whose MBAs are (I think) from Anglia Ruskin University, looks especially good with 6 months tuition for only 2,800 pounds.

Hi Duncan,

Interesting to see how many top up MBAs there are now. Merely out of curiousity, do you if anyone accepts City & Guilds Professional Recognition Awards (LCGI, GCGI, etc) as credit towards a business qualification?

www.cityandguilds.com/Courses-and-Qualifications/professional-recognition-awards/professional-recognition-awards/9200-professional-recognition-awards

www.cityandguilds.com/Career-Ideas/Awards/Professional-Recognition-Awards

City & Guilds states that its MCGI award is "level 7". Would it count towards a top up MBA, I wonder?
