Warwick vs Durham

Hi all, I'm 33 and have 8+ experience in project management roles (corporate and on site) in VALE S.A. Most of my career and academic background was built in Brazil, now I'm working in a new project in New Caledonia. I want to take advantage of the MBA to change my career to business development, occupy a senior position, spent a couple of years out of Brazil and then come back to Brazil.

I've got offers from Warwick and Durham (class 2020/2021), which one best fit my profile?
OBS: Warwick is costing 4K more than Durham.

Hi Duncan,
is this huge difference also applies to the MiMs programmes? If yes, is it due
to the entry requirements? The workload or the difficulty level of the courses
taught? The qualifications of the teaching staff? The approach used in the
teaching method? The material covered or the variety of the courses included in
the programme? It may seems a lot of questions, but it will help in
understanding the differences.

I disagree with you. What do you mean by "way, way better" ?
If you talk about warwick mba and for example, London south bank mba (i don't think they have an mba), yes, in this example you can say warwick mba is way way better than london south bank mba.
But if you talk about warwick mba ranking and durham mba ranking, it's slightly better no more, nor less than this.
If you talk about courses, it depends on what you re looking for.
If you talk about costs, durham mba is cheaper than warwick mba.
If you talk about alumni network, etc etc etc.
So, in my opinion, it depends on what you're looking for, how much you want to pay for your mba.
In the last FT global mba ranking, Durham is just behind Imperial College Mba.
In the same ranking after Warwick Global mba, you have Alliance Manchester BS, City Cass, Imperial College and Durham.
So is it better ? maybe, but slightly better, not "way way better".

If there's any material basis for saying that Warwick's MBA is not better, you'll really have to come back with some data.

Of course, it might be the case that there's a candidate where Durham is a better fit bit on the variables you mention (courses, network) Warwick has a much wider selection of courses and a much larger MBA network than Durham. Since the OP has no very specific goals that relate to Durham's strengths (for example, Durham has a great alumni network in the Carribean) you are simply left with the choice of paying less to get less value.

Why do you always have to defend warwick ? Do you work for them ? Did you graduate at warwick ?
I ask this question because for many years you're here talking about warwick.
Always like "warwick is the best, durham is shit".

Yes there are ONLY 3 schools between them not 20.
The guy asks informations about 2 Uk business schools, not 2 european BS or 2 global BS.
That's why for BS, yes, there are only 3 schools in uk between Warwick and Durham.

Cara, tudo depende do que vc esta procurando.
Eu te conselho de olhar bem os programas dos 2 mba onde vc foi aceito.
Olhe os programas, e pense qual vc gosta mais.
Qual programa vc pensa que te dara mais opçoes.
Tambem te conselho de olhar os preços dos 2.
E tambem olhe os alumnis que ja foram graduados, isso pode te dar uma perspectiva do potencial internacional dos alunos.
Os 2 mba na minha opiniao sao boms.
A diferença entre esses dois nao me parece ser tao grande.
