Unless Hult gains AACSB accreditation, I would not consider it. It doesn't even take part in the AACSB's survey, so I think it's probably not even trying to gain accreditation.

The typical answer is probably to stick with the FT-ranked programs: you probably can't go wrong with BU or Boston - Carroll.

However, UMass Boston isn't a bad value for the price; it can be a good choice, especially for locals, depending on what your career goals are.

Not to mention Babson: great school if you are have an interest in entrepreneurship.

I see... I work in marketing, and I will probably stay in marketing. Is something like BU or UMass good for this? I don't think I would need to do a specialization, because I think I already have a good grasp on marketing. I am more looking for upward growth, rather than branching out, function-wise.

The other cost-cutting alternative would be to do a part time program, and try to keep my current job. Although, I was looking forward to having some time off of work to focus on my studies...

BU is much better than UMass Boston; I am sure you know that already.

A part-time option wouldn't be a terrible idea, especially if you intended on staying in your current organization (in which case, your firm might be willing to share the cost with you, because it's in their best interest, as well.)

And a few of these Boston-based business schools do have well-regarded part-time or flexible options. Carroll's is the highest-ranked in the Businessweek part-time ranking, but Babson and Boston University place well too...

Hey, I realize this is an old discussion but did you select from one of these MBA programs? I'm trying to decide whether it's better to do a full time MBA or a part time one and stay in my current job. There are pros and cons to both, and I'm currently weighing them. I'm looking at BU, Suffolk, and UMass mainly.

In terms of the full-time programs, Boston University is probably the best of the bunch, generally speaking. (Although Suffolk might be better for certain career paths like nonprofit management, and UMass maybe for healthcare, arguably..)

For part-time options have you looked at Boston College's Evening MBA program? It's well respected and I've heard good things about it.
