Technology-centric MBA

Does anybody have any suggestions for good MBA programs in the US that blend in an extensive technology component?

I don't think I want a full-on dual-degree program, but having a good selection of IT and IS electives would help.

So far I've looked at MIT/Sloan and Georgia Tech. Any comments on these schools? Not sure I could afford the Sloan program, except with loans.

My goal is to start my own business that would help install operational backend systems for new startups.

With your ambitions, you might want to look into programs that have strong entrepreneurial aspects, and potentially ones that are close to startup money.

Stanford is the obvious choice, but I would also consider fellow Bay Area school Cal (Haas.)

New York City is also becoming a good place to launch a startup - so you might also look into NYU Stern as well.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I've shortlisted the following schools:

Harvard
MIT Sloan
Boston University
Temple Fox
Carnegie Mellon

I'm thinking Boston/Cambridge would be a good location - I'm not sure that NYC is the best place to launch a tech-based startup.

Harvard is my long-shot school, but depending on what I get on my GMAT it could be within range.

What about Washington Foster?

It's got a lot of innovation/entrepreneurial-oriented electives (even offers a course about angel investing,) and the Seattle-area location is a hotbed for tech and startup activity. Who wants to do the same-old Silicon Valley route anyway? :)
