MBA and Finance advice

Hi Everybody!
This board is amazing!! I've read some discussions and I found huge information here, that's why I decided to write in this wall to ask for advice :).

I have started my research of MBAs to find the best one for me and I would like to know your opinion about what are the MBAs that have good reputation in Finance or Banking specialization?

I am 28 years old with experience in banking and finance for 4 years. I work in the government, supervising banks and all institutions that belong to financial system of my country. I am so interested in studying an MBA because I always wanted to do it, I studied economics but related to macroeconomics and I would like to know more about business administration. My goal is to study a full-time MBA (1 year) in a good university located in Europe (but could be also Canada) and not so expensive because I have to afford it by myself (with a scholarship) and I think I will come back to my country...I am latin american so you can imagine the budget that I must have to live in a foreign country, specially in Europe so it is an investment that I would like to take in an acceptable university.

I was thinking about RSM school but I do not know if it match with my profile. I've read that Oxford and Cambridge are great schools for someone who want to work in consulting or government, it is a good information to start my research but, are there other alternatives???...My preference is England but i hestitate for the expensive it is....my second alternative is Netherland or Canada. I am preparing for the TOEFL and GMAT exam this year, I know a bit of French but I would like
to study in english speaking countries.

Why don't you apply to spanish schools (ie, esade, iese, eada) since you already speaking spanish fluently. After post-grad, you can apply to spanish banks like BBVA, Banco Santander, etc.
Also spanish schools are more highly regarded in latin america region.

If you want to study in english-speaking countries, you only have 3 choices (u.s.a., u.k., canada). The cheapest degree from these countries would be in u.k.
Schools like warwick, cranfield, leeds can be quite affordable and their degrees are highly regarded in u.k.
Just avoid MBA programs in london, if you worry about expensive MBA program and high living cost.

Btw, I think you have a good working experiences, you should be able to get into decent schools.

Hi rhino!...thks for your answer!! I was thinking about it (study in Spain) but I would like to get another challenge in my live and improve my english skill, I think that studying in English can give you more opportunities to know people with different nationalities. Most people in the world speak in English so I could know people who came from Asia, Europe and Africa and exchange traditions?it would be an amazing experience for me and that is one of the reasons I would like to study abroad. Moreover, I think that my country would appreciate more if I have an MBA in English than Spanish, because you have the input of the foreign language. So I will follow your advice and forget about MBAs in London.
So, you consider that warwick, cranfield are decent schools for my profile? MBA with a good specialization in Finance or Banking?... I will study so hard to get acceptable marks in the TOEFL and GMAT, it?s a quite hard but not impossible. :)
