Advice for UK MBA: 2:1 with 5 years work-experience, GMAT 610

Hi Duncan and all,

I am checking for my close friend as he is also considering going to the UK for his studies. He is from Hong Kong, studied in a Russell Group university and graduated with a 2:1 in 2011, scored 610 for his GMAT and looking at 16 or 17 entry. He is currently working in the supply chain field with close to 5 years of work experience. Which UK B-school should he be targeting?

Thanks.

Why the UK? What are his goals? Look at my post on GMAT Tiers.

He has fond memories back in his days in the UK and would like to explore more opportunities around, especially in the consulting field. I supposed Manchester would be more suitable for him but I don't think he meet the minimum GMAT requirement.

Thanks Duncan. My friend said that he doesn't like the Alliance name with MBS. It kind of devalues the brand name. He is considering other options now.

I don't think it devalues the name at all. Their recruiting partners are not going to give up that relationship simply because of a name change!

Especially a 50 million pound name change that will increase the school's quality.
