Sebastian, I do not think that there are many differences between RSM or TiasNimbas. Both are good Business Schools and if you speak English and German your won't have problems to find a job neither in Holland nor in Germany.

Nyenrode is another one to consider. It is acredited by AMBA and Equis and is ranked about as good as RSM and (Tias)Nimbas. In the 2006 Economist and in the 2007 FT ranking it is within the top 100 MBA programs worldwide:

Another option would be Amsterdam Business School - if you prefer to live in a fun city (Equis acredited).

And the job market in Holland or Germany for graduates of these Schools. I am Latin American (from Chile) and besides Spanish and English, I speak good German.

Any information will be very valuable.

Generally speaking, in the German job market an MBA from the Netherlands would be fine. However, if you German is not impeccable yet, you should consider top German MBA programs such as ESMT, WHU, Mannheim as well, just for the the language.

Yes, I was searching for German MBA, however, they do not appear in any international ranking. On the contrary, Dutch MBAs do appear in all international rankings. Dutch MBAs seem to enjoy of more recognition/reputation than German ones around the world.

About Nyenrode, I am aware that it would also be a good option, however, I am not attracted by its location. It is located in no city, in the middle of Utrecht and Amsterdam.

I am most interested in TiasNimbas. I was once in Utrecht and it is a beautiful and vibrant city.

Well, that depend on the Business School but taking into account the aforementioned schools these would be the differences:

London Business School: aprox. 63.300 euros
IMD: aprox. 45.500 euros
IESE: 61.900
INSEAD: 48.800
TiasNimbas: 31.300

If you get in the TiasNimbas MBA it is very probable that you get an scholarship of 10.000 euros, due to they are offering several. That would reduce the tuiton to just 21.300, a big difference to me (I came from a Latin American country, where incomes are very low and of course, cost of life too than those in European countries). I was just wondering if that differences in prices are also so striking in the curriculum (and therefore education you receive).

Actually, RSM is the best Dutch program.
If you want a "top" mba in holland, stop looking there.
For specialist degrees, like MSCs in finance etc, the scene is different, but for MBAs the choice is rather limited in Benelux and Germany.

Take a look also at IMD, ESMT, St Gallen and Insead (take German classes there and pass an exam).

The cost of an MBA is frightening, but jobs offers from top programs make up for it and you could manage to get a scholarship/bank loan.

I don't understand why you bring together Schools like IMD and INSEAD with ESMT and St Gallen. In the case of ESMT I never heard of it. Aren't RSM, TiasNimbas or Nyenrode better schools than ESMT or St Gallen??? At least the rankings say so.

I guess there are not many people applying to only one school - you can try but can't COUNT on being accepted by the first MBA in the list, RSM, unless you are the one over the top candidate.
So I find it very helpful to take this "personal ranking" by FMartin, as a basis, get some more info - and then apply to several programs. They are all very good programs, and especially if you want to work in that region, all schools are a name.

I am Spanish and have done my MBA two years ago in RSM Erasmus. Let me give you just some thoughts.

RSM: The most international and renowned Business School in The Netherlands. It is located in Rotterdam, the most industrious city in Holland, so you will be near of the biggest companies over there. On the other hand, it is not very clean neither pretty.

TiasNimbas: It is the second international and renowned Business School in The Netherlands. The best location. Utrecht is a student city, where everybody speaks English. You will find the city incredible beautiful, and it is also home of many companies. However, by no means ?location? should be your first point when it comes to choosing a Business School.

Nyenrode: The third Business School in The Netherlands. Just one critic, it is said that Nyenrode is home of spoilt child, or, in other words, those who never makes an effort and whose parents always pay everything. I am not saying that?s true, I just saying what everybody believe in Holland.

Amsterdam: Too short history to be catalogued. Therefore it is not yet very recognized in Holland.

I do not believe that is easier to get in TiasNimbas, Nyenrode or Amsterdam than RSM. Actually, I remember that I applied to RSM, Nyenrode and Nimbas and I just get in RSM and Nyenrode. What I do consider easier is to get a scholarship from TiasNimbas, Nyenrode or Amsterdam than from RSM.

On a general basis, I would recommend that if you get in all these schools and do not get a scholarship from none of them, go for RSM.
However, if you get a scholarship from TiasNimbas, Nyenrode or Amsterdam (let?s say 10.000 euros), then, I truly believe that the cost-benefit will be very best in the other schools, mainly TiasNimbas.

These are the current tuition fees: RSM 36.000, TiasNimbas 31.300, Nyenrode 29.500 (fee for candidates who send their application before July 1, 2007 is ? 27.000) and Amsterdam 21.000.

Mukerjee, yes I do get some job offers in Holland, however, I decided to launch my own company in Spain. And yes again, I am very satisfied with my job.

I can?t tell you about other countries, but Holland nowadays has a very healthy job market, and I am not talking just to MBA graduated. Of course, as a MBA graduated you are likely to get better proposals. All my classmates found job before the first three months after finished the course. Just a few of them spoke Dutch. So, although if you speak Dutch, German or French would be helpful in Holland, it clearly wouldn?t be an obstacle.

There?s one kind of people who doesn?t find job after graduation: the pretentious.
Let?s face it; you won?t get a CEO position just for doing a MBA. You will surely improve you past position and salary but don?t be too much pretentious when it comes to choosing among job offers. Be wise, sometimes the better offers (those with sound promotion possibilities) are not very attractive in the short-term.

And you can see that I came back to Spain almost two years ago and left to use my English in the first sentence. I wanted to say " yes I got job offers ......"
